Sponsorship of Community Events

WRVP sponsors community events! We periodically bring professional entertainment events to the valley in the form of music, dance and drama to delight, enlighten and educate local audiences. In the past, we have sponsored the Burlington Taiko Drummers, the Kruger Brothers, and concerts in the town of Rochester’s Sunday Night Concert series. Most of these events have been held outdoors and have been free to the public.

Our annual Harvest Fair is a much-anticipated event where the community gathers on the first Saturday after Labor Day to enjoy an all-day event on the Rochester Park with vendors, food, entertainment, a flower show, and kids’ activities. Another important draw is the opportunity to reconnect with friends and neighbors and for community groups to have booths to further their own activities. At the Players’ booth we welcome people to sign up for volunteer activities, to peruse our scrapbooks of past productions, to view the wide variety of posters on display from years past, or to find out about an upcoming production. It’s proved to be a great way to involve people who are new to the community and want to be part of what’s going on locally.
